my neck of the woods

I take my outfit pictures everyday during my lunch break. Finding a place to take them started out as a major obstacle. When I did this in the winter I took my pictures by the tennis court. No one was around, because it was winter. I never had to worry about people seeing a crazy person (me) taking pictures of herself in a public park.

Well, now it's summer and people go to parks. The first day I had to take a picture I spent almost my whole lunch break looking for a good place. There also had to be a place for me to put my camera because I don't have a tripod (nor would I bring one to work with me to take pictures). I wanted a good background and I also wanted some seclusion so people at the park and in the surrounding office buildings didn't think I was totally crazy. Well, I found the perfect place. The Provo River runs right behind the park and the office buildings and there are a few places along the walking trail in the park where you can go down right to the river. I found a good spot with an open space and I hang my camera on a branch! Perfect! And no one sees me unless they walk on the trail right by my spot, then it gets kind of awkward and I usually just pretend to be taking pictures of the wildlife...
