be true to yourself

eat:
This morning I actually made breakfast, instead of eating cold cereal on my drive to school. I was inspired by a post on Cup of Jo to make Egg in a Hole. So I did that. And then I remembered I had an avocado so I added that on top, and it was deeeeelicious. But now I smell like breakfast. How's that for a food post.

watch:
Ok, I have been waiting all week to post this video because I just love it so much. I want to hang out with this girl all the time. And be in this choir. But only if she's there.

I'm dying over how cute she is! That face!

do:
I don't usually write about the quotes that I post, but I just really love this one. I follow a page on Facebook called Humans of New York and it is a photoblog of portraits and interviews. This quote came from a young woman who said something about how she feels she partied too much when she was younger, and then she said this:
be true

I think this is really powerful, and I believe it completely. I think she has stated beautifully something that plagues us everyday. How different would we act if we were true to our long-term self? What choices would be make if we were thinking about our long-term self? I believe in eternity, and I try to make choices in my life that will affect my eternal life. But whether you believe that or not, you have a long-term self, and that self needs to be thought about and cared for everyday. Who is your long-term self? Who do you want your long-term self to be? How can you be true to your long-term self with the decisions you make now?

That's Travis' breakfast specialty. I'd never eaten it before January. Delicious. I like the avocado idea. Really anything with avocado is just better
