2 new obsessions: Ingrid Michaelson and Laura Marling.
In other news, I've been running a lot of hills lately in my pursuit of running to the Y. Yesterday I made it to the sign that says I'm 1500 feet from the trail head. I predict I'll be at the trail head in about 2 weeks. Running hills is hard and it sucks but for some reason I love it. I can't believe I do it almost every day. Running down hills is really scary. Sometimes I just imagine myself losing my footing and tumbling down the hill and not being able to stop myself. Then I worry that it's actually going to happen because I'm trying so hard to avoid it. I got new running shoes last weekend and I love them. The combination of new shoes and great weather makes running a great part of my day.
Tomorrow is the last day of finals. I have one test left to take and I'm having a hard time motivating myself to study. Today is my last day of work for a week. I don't know what I'm going to do with myself after finals are over. Probably watch the last season of Gilmore Girls.
Rebecca and I are staying in our apartment for spring and summer (and fall and winter). Chelsea is going home and Michelle is moving to a different apartment until fall. So we are getting new roommates. We are both considerably nervous because we haven't really heard a lot about the new girls. I keep telling myself and Rebecca that we have to give them a chance. Who knows, maybe we'll really like them...
So let's go back to where I left off from my last blog entry. I went to 2 sessions of General Conference and they were great. Saturday morning I went with Pam, Jackie and Layne and it was pretty chill.
Jackie had to work so she left right after the morning session but Layne, Pam and I stayed, went to the Gateway for lunch and then watched the afternoon session in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. We were so tired, it was amusing. We ate lunch in silence and I didn't even notice until Pam pointed it out later. When we took the Trax from the Gateway to the Memorial Building, we sat at our stop for at least 5 minutes without realizing that we needed to get off. Luckily we realized before we got to the next stop. It was ridiculous how tired we were. Right before the last speaker, the alarm in the building went off and we had to evacuate. We just decided to head home and beat the traffic. And we were all anxious to get home to take a nap.
Sunday morning we invited people to Pam's for waffles and to watch Conference then we left right after that session to go to the afternoon session. We had a huge group at that session and it was really fun. I went to Pam's for dinner and a bunch of her friends for Arizona came. It was fun to meet and hang out with new people. I got to see a friend from Hawaii. Sydney went to school with Pam in Arizona and she was in Provo for the weekend. It was crazy how many connections there were with everyone there. The weekend was packed but it was really fun.I went to a friend's bridal shower a couple weeks ago and it was really fun. My friend Pam was helping throw it so I was helping her make crepes. I made so many crepes before the shower but it was fun because there were a bunch of girls all helping out and the shower was a success (everyone loved the food :)).

We played capture the flag with water balloons full of paint last Saturday. It was really fun. Our team didn't win but I still had a good time. I got a bucket of blue paint/water poured on me so I was really cold. And some crazy people went and jumped in the river after the game was over. I was not willing to risk getting pneumonia so I declined the offer.Trevor came to visit last weekend. It was really fun to hang out with him. He got to meet some of my friends and I got to go on a campus tour with him, etc.
(This is us playing Guitar Hero at Amy's.) We got to hang out for a while on Tuesday morning and it was great just to talk about stuff. He's such a cool person and I love talking with him about anything. I'm excited for him to be out here next year.
It doesn't feel like the end of the semester because I'm not leaving. I keep having to remind myself that a lot of my friends are leaving. It's sad to think about but I'm excited to be staying in Provo for the summer.
