we welcome autumn...with folded arms and a pouty face.

I can't believe that September is almost over. It will be October in 7 days. On Monday, I looked at my calendar and realized that it was the first day of autumn. As soon as I read that, my stomach sank. I've never had that feeling on the first day of autumn. It usually comes during the colder weather.

Summer is now officially over. I'm cringing as I write this. I believe I've written plenty about this summer so I won't bore you with how much I miss it.

Ok, so there are some good things about fall. School is not the best example but I can't really avoid it so I try to find all the good in it that I can. Good things about school:
  • people-watching during breaks
  • awesome pick-up lines from strange boys in class
  • the bookstore is now open until 8!
  • the lines at the Cougareat are eternal (eternity is good, right?)
  • early to bed early to rise, blah, blah, blah
That's about all I can think of for school.

One thing I do like about autumn is football season. BYU has played 4 games and has won all of them. Go Cougars! Last Saturday, the game against Wyoming was almost boring. It felt exactly like the UCLA game only there were no surprises. So hopefully, something exciting will happen at the next game and we'll win. Here are the girls at the football game (me, Katie, Rebecca). And me with Trevor (after trying a million times to get a good, we finally decided on this one. It's hard to get a good picture when YOU'RE SITTING IN THE SUN IN 90 DEGREE WEATHER FOR HOURS!).

I'm on an intramural flag football team again this fall. We are the Army of Champions. Our first game was last week and we lived up to our name. Two touchdowns for us, nothing for them. Our team is awesome and we have great coaches so I'm looking forward to a winning season. Our next game is tomorrow night, which happens to be during the season premiere of The Office so I'm not expecting much of a crowd.

Another exciting thing for this fall is my internship! I've been working at Utah Valley University in the Wellness Programs in the Student Health Services. It's an awesome internship and I'm so thankful for the opportunity to work there. If you are interested in more details you can visit the website. I would love to answer any questions you have about the programs and/or the internship. The internship includes to many aspects of Public Health that are going to be necessary skills for me to have so it's basically perfect.

So I've just been really busy the past few weeks. I've been adjusting to classes, work and my internship. I'm taking 14 credits, 3 of which are my internship. But my internship is actually 8 hours a week, and I'm working at the BYU Writing Center 20 hours a week. I keep waiting for things to settle down but they haven't yet so I think I might have to accept the fact that this will be my life for the next 13 weeks. I'll try to keep my blog updated but don't get in a huffy if it's not as frequent as you would like. Just let me know you need an update and I'm sure I can find some time to write a few paragraphs.
