how can you not like something fried

As we all know, I was tutoring a girl named Ashley in Spanish Fork two days a week for the last 5 months. Part of the deal was that Ashley's mom, Maria, fed me dinner. She always made the most delicious Mexican food and I always ate way too much. One of my favorite desserts Maria made for us was fried plantains. You don't even have to know what plantains are, just know that they are fried. And then you put sweetened condensed milk and sour cream on top. Yeah, you don't have to tell me know good that sounds.

Another thing we all know is that I love a good challenge. And I love to make things. I also love chocolate and nice weather. Hammocks are really great too. But anyway, I decided to try to make my own fried plantains, and not just because I needed more, but I also wanted to share this delicious treat with my roommates. And now I'm going to share it with you:

Step one: peel and slice the plantain.

Step two: heat up some oil and fry the slices until they look like this:

Step three: drizzle sweetened condensed milk over the plantains and dollop a few dollops of sour cream over it.

Step four: EAT IT BECAUSE IT IS AWESOME
Unfortunately I don't have a picture of us enjoying the goodness of this treat.

Now you know how to make it and you can do it all on your own! All ingredients were bought at a grocery store. Look for the sweetened condensed milk in a squeeze bottle (check the Mexican/Latin foods aisle).
