Every year for the last few years my mom has planned a spa day for all the older sisters in my family. She makes us appointments for a facial and a massage and it's basically heaven. It's hard to schedule all four of us at the same time so we usually partner up. Polly and I got our facials (heaven), went home for a quick baked good, and then went to our massage appointments (also heaven). It was the most relaxing, enjoyable afternoon ever and the best Christmas present.
BFF Reunion
I met Megan and Becca at Girls' Camp when I was 15. I love them. They are two of my favorite people ever. I don't know how I would have made it through my high school years without them. Even though they lived an hour away we saw each other as often as we could and became great friends. Since high school it's been hard to get together. We've all been kind of back and forth around Utah and Iowa and it's a lucky day when we get to hang out. They are both married and have a couple kids and I haven't met anyone. I accidentally saw Megan last summer at the airport. It had been years and we saw each other for about ten minutes. Not enough. So I swore to her that I would see her while I was in Iowa this time. On New Year's Day I drove to Becca's house in Muscatine where everyone was hanging out. It was soooo fun to see them. I got to meet the husbands and the kids and catch up with my bffs. We just sat around and talked for a few hours and it was great. I'm so glad I made time to see them and I must do it more often.
I forgot to take a picture while we were together but here's us like five years ago.

Uneventful. We watched Thor and turned on the TV a couple minutes before midnight. Countdown. Then I went to bed.
