day 20 and fractions

dress: DownEast, boots: Target, tights: Target

I was really looking forward to wearing high heels today but it snowed 5 inches so that didn't happen, on with the boots.

We are 2/3 of the way done. Hooray! I've gotten some interesting questions about this challenge. The two I remember best?
  • "So after this is done are you going to throw away all your clothes?"
  • "Only 10 days left? Are you gonna keep doing it when it's over?"
Answers (probably not what I actually said to them, but what I thought in my head):
  • "Throw my clothes away?? Are you kidding? I'm dying to wear my other clothes. I miss them so much. This is the least likely time I would throw them away. Plus I think they feel left out. I can't just throw them to the gutter. Not now. Not ever."
  • "No. Absolutely not. Really? Why would I keep doing it? Does this look fun to you? Do you want me to remind you that I've been wearing the same 30 things for the last 3 weeks? We can talk about it more if you want.
New topic:
I have this thing where I do some math to figure out how much it costs to use something based on the total cost and how much I'll use it. Buy a shirt for $10? I can wear it once for $10, ten times for $10, 100 times for 10 cents (I think I did that math right...), etc. If I pay $1 per use, I've gotten my money's worth. Well, this evening my roommate was trying to justify buying all ten seasons of Friends for $10 each. After a lot of math (that I gave up on part of the way through), we figured out that it would be about 65 cents per episode. (Don't quote me on that, Krystle did the math after I gave up.) So if any of you were trying to justify the same thing, I feel good saying you'll get your money's worth.

And that's only if you watch them once.

Is it Mom that taught us about the "$1 per use and you've gotten your money's worth"? Haha.

I love this outfit. My friend Hillory wore an outfit almost exactly like it to church on Sunday and I LOVE the simplicity of a black dress, black tights, and brown/camel boots. It's so cozy but also adorable. When did you get that dress? I want it.

And your hair is looking awesome. You have such shiny healthy perfect hair.

Yeah, I got that philosophy from Mom :). I got the dress this summer. I had a coupon for 50% off a dress at Downeast and I fell in love with this one. I seriously want to wear it everyday!

I also wanted to thank you for helping justify buying all ten seasons of Friends. I've been debating about that purchase for years now and haven't been able to do it but now that you break it all down for me, it's WELL worth the money. WELL worth it. Merry Christmas to me ;)
