(shirt: Forever 21, pants: Kohl's, shoes: Forever Young, belt: Gap (men's), headband: h&m)
I remember when I was much younger, my brother would come downstairs in the morning with his shirt tucked in. He was probably 5 or 6 years old (making me about 7 or 8). Almost everyday, someone would tell him to untuck his shirt. It was NOT cool to tuck in your shirt for 1st grade. I just remember him with his jeans up to his belly button and his shirt tucked in so nicely. I'm sure my sister and I rolled our eyes at it on several occasions. He just loved that shirt tucked in! Who knew that 17 years later it would be all the rage?
Confession: I bought some things today. I went to DI to look for some things for a costume (it's gonna be good) and to browse for a few things for my sister and found a couple things I couldn't resist (cute blazer-jacket thing, ugly Christmas sweater in preparation for the season, you have to grab it before anyone else does, and belts!). And you can't just say no to something at a thrift store expecting it to be there in 21 days. Don't worry, you won't see them until until the 30 days is up. I won't break every rule.
A cute old man at the thrift store asked me to help him read something. It was so precious. He stopped me and said hi and said that his eyes were bad and asked if I would help him. I assumed he wanted to know what the price sticker said on the dish he had in his hand so I said, "It says 75 cents--" He interrupted me and laughed and said, "My eyes aren't that bad! What does this other sticker say?" He meant the microwave/dishwasher instructions. As I read them, I realized how loudly I was reading. Poor sight is not the same as hard of hearing. I guess I'm just used to clarifying things over the phone. Then he asked me and my friend what type of material we thought the dish was made of. We all took turns touching and tapping the bowl before we came to the conclusion that it was synthetic, not ceramic. Oh I love talking to nice people in stores.
I got a flu shot today. The man who injected me had a French accent. I wish we had more to talk about besides swine flu and how sore my arm will be. And it is sore.
