all kinds of weather, we stick together

Amy and I at Monticello after Thanksgiving.
My sister Amy is my best friend. We became best friends when I came out to BYU for my freshman year. She is a few years older than me and I'm so glad she was here to show me the ropes. We took a class together every semester while we both were going to BYU and it was my favorite thing ever. I always looked forward to class with her. Sometimes if we hadn't seen each other in a few days (or even if we had seen each other earlier that day) we would whisper during the whole class. Needless to say we were shushed a time or two.

I visited Amy and her little family (husband Brandon and 20-month-old son Josh) for Thanksgiving and it was one of the best vacations ever. Amy took me to all the cool places and we got to spend so much time together. I was so sad when it was over. I learned so much from spending time with Amy. We had so much time to talk about everything. We were tourists together, we shopped together, we cooked together, and we laughed together.

Amy is an incredible person. She is an amazing sister and an awesome best friend. She is such a good example to me of someone who truly loves and cares about other people. When I am with her I feel uplifted and motivated to do good. She is constantly striving to be a better person and it shows in the things she says and does. I hope that I can be even just a portion of the person she is.

Thanks Amanda!! That made me cry!! You're my best friend too and I feel about you all the same things. It was so fun to have you visit. I loved spending time together, just you and me. It had been so long since it has been you and me. You're amazing in every way and I want to be a better person because of you! I love you so much!!
