Last Friday we went to the night market for a few minutes and then to a Mexican Restaurant for dinner. After dinner we went to a movie! Our friend Sokhum was with us and suggested a movie so we saw Man of Steel in 3D for $5. Pretty good deal if you ask me.

Saturday we went to the Russian Market to browse and get a few things. After the market we stayed home and had dinner and watched a movie. On Sunday I spoke in church and then stayed afterward for a baptism.

That brings us to this week.
Monday:
I attempted to pick up my shoes that I ordered but they were too small so they told me to come back the next day. On the way home we stopped by the Russian Market; I think we're obsessed with that place. After work we went to a DVD store to check out the selection and on the way home we got Indian food at a vegetarian place that had been recommended to us. The food was amazing and Kira was in Heaven.

I attempted to pick up my shoes again but they didn't look like the picture. I told them I wouldn't pay the full amount because of that and (after waiting for someone to find the picture I brought and using multiple translators) they said they would make me a new pair!
After work I went to my happy place (the dessert cafe with air conditioning) to skype with my sister, Amy. I didn't even have to buy an overpriced dessert to use the internet. As soon as I sat down one of the employees walked over and said the internet password was the same as last time. I was pretty happy about that.
Wednesday:
We went to the Russian Market during lunch so I could buy fabric and have a skirt made. One of the other interns said she has gotten a couple made and they turned out great so I decided to get one made for me! I found really cool fabric and brought a picture of a skirt I like. I pick up the skirt tomorrow and I hope it looks good!
After work we ran home to beat the rain and it started pouring as soon as we got there. We had English class at 6 so we waited until it stopped and then walked to the church. We were a little late but happy to be there. They had a lesson about buying things in a grocery store and they set up a game in the gym to practice. They had different areas of the gym with different foods (fruits, vegetables, meat, etc.) and they gave everyone some fake money and a grocery list. Whoever got everything on their list the fastest was the winner. Kira and I were stationed at the fruit so we helped everyone buy fake apples and bananas and jack fruit and mangoes. After the game we watched Finding Faith in Christ and then had some treats. I love going to help with the class! Everyone there is so nice and happy and it's fun to see their familiar faces every week!
When we got home all I wanted to do was watch Pushing Daisies and do my nails. I bought nail polish at the market earlier so that's what I did! It was really nice to relax and watch Lee Pace's beautiful face.
Thursday:
During lunch we went to a library. Kira has been wanting a French book to read and our friend Michele had a membership to a library that has French books! She gave her card to Kira before she left so we went to check it out. It's just a room full of books and they have a lot of children's books that they let anyone read for free if they stay in the room. They have a couple shelves of French and English books too.
After work we waited out another rainstorm and then our friend Sokhum invited us to play volleyball! He knew we both love to play and said he would invite us next time he played. We went to a little recreation area where they have a couple courts. It was a bunch of Cambodian guys and two white American girls. I'm sure it was weird for them but it was really fun!

During lunch I picked up my shoes and they turned out great! I'm really happy with them. We also tried a couple new treats that we bought from a cart on the street. One is roasted bananas (delicious) and the other is a mystery food. It's a little patty of roasted something sweet. We identified coconut, sugar, and a fruit of some kind. It was really tasty!
After work we are going to get massages and then maybe go to the night market. I am really tired and hope to go to bed early like an old boring person.
Tomorrow we are going to the Royal Palace and the National Museum. Kira and I made a list of everything we want to do in our last 3 weeks here and then put them on our calendar so we will actually do them.
